Corrections Policy

We publish health information and product information, and both have to be right. This page explains how to tell us about an error and what we do about it.
What we correct
- A factual error in an article — a wrong figure, a wrong name, a misstated fact.
- An error on a product page — an ingredient, a quantity, a manufacturing detail, or a caution that is missing or wrong.
- Health guidance that has been superseded and is no longer accurate.
- A broken link, a wrong image, or a mislabelled image.
- A spelling or grammatical error that changes what a sentence means.
How quickly
We aim to acknowledge a report within two working days.
Anything that could affect a reader's health or safety — a wrong dosage, a missing caution, a wrong ingredient, an interaction we failed to mention — is treated as urgent and corrected as soon as we have confirmed it, ahead of everything else. If confirming it takes time, we remove or amend the passage in the meantime rather than leave it standing.
Everything else is normally corrected within seven working days of us confirming the error.
How a correction is shown
- The page is updated, and its last updated date changes, so the revision is visible on the page itself.
- Where a correction changes the meaning of what was published — not a typo, but the substance — we add a short note on the page saying what was changed and when.
- We correct the page rather than quietly deleting it. An article is only taken down when it cannot be made accurate.
- If you reported the error and left us a contact address, we write back to tell you what we did.
What is not a correction
A disagreement with our editorial judgement — a topic we chose not to cover, or guidance you would have worded differently — is not an error, and we will say so rather than change the page. We are always glad to hear it, and it may shape what we publish next.
Requests to remove accurate information about a product, or to add a claim we cannot support, are declined. See our Editorial Policy for what we will and will not publish.
